Dr Olakunle Churchill Receive Grand Reception In Liberia (Photo, Videos)
The city of Monrovia came alive with the executive reception accorded to My Humble self; Dr Olakunle Churchill as my Team and I arrived the Sovereign Nation of Liberia in style on the invitation of the President. On our arrival at the airport, cross sections of journalist and traditional dancers besieged the airport to welcome me and staffs of Big Church foundation.
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf who was elated in receiving Us to her country ; she expressed her excitement over my charity projects towards the less privileged. In her words " we appreciate your visit and your intention to extend your agricultural empowerment project in Nigeria to Liberia and other parts of Sub-Sahara Africa. Nigeria over the years has displayed big brother love to us especially during the civil war where some Nigerian military died to save the nation". The warm reception at the presidency with the ministers followed a peace festival match around the city to the stadium where I was one of the key note speakers from Nigeria alongside the Vice president Joseph Boakai. The colourful event with the theme " Let's Maintain The Peace, promoting Nonviolent Elections" had several attractions of performances including the popular Liberian blind boy;Semah G Weifur also known Liberia little flavor who thrilled the citizens. Council of Chiefs during the 4 days visit also honoured Me with a Chieftaincy title at Kamara community with the allocation of 100 hectares of land for the agricultural empowerment project. Responding to the gesture, I was humbled to be recognised and honoured in a far away African country while promising them of my commitment to supporting their activities through my foundation and empowerment programmes.
The 4 day Liberian Sojourn was capped up with a visit to the Centre for the blind where the foundation shared medical eyes glasses and other financial donations. We further took out time to put up appearance at the Lion's Club event as a Lifetime achievement member where my team and I distributed more eyes glasses and other souvenirs.
