Suspected Explosive Found In Home Of Awwalu Ali Tafoki, Sambo’s Former Aide

A polythene bag suspected to have contained an explosive was yesterday found at the house belonging to Awwalu Ali Tafoki, a former Kaduna South Local Government chairman and former Senior Special Assistance on Sports to the then governor and now Vice President Namadi Sambo.

Tafoki said he noticed a strange briefcase inside his compound along Gangara Road in Sabon Gari, Tudun Wada around 9 am and quickly called his brother to alert the police.

According to him, “the police did not arrive on time until around 11 am and when the bomb disposal unit finally arrived, they used their device to detonate the content of the bag from a distance.” Click here for more details
