Pa Akinwunmi, Joke Silva, Omotola J. Ekeinde Receive National Honor!

Yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan honored deserving Nigerians who have helped put the country on the world Map. Some of the awardeed were Ajoke Silva, wife of Olu Jacobs, Omotola J. Ekeinde, Pa Akinwunmi, the man who designed the National Flag, a man who returned ten million naira forgotten in his taxi to its owner, the longest serving staff in the State house, amongst others.

President Jonathan placed Pa Akinwunmi on a life Salary forever; which also means he will be receiving the salary of same amount with the special advicer to the president.

This man, Pa Akinwunmi has really suffered. I could remember when I watched his interview on NTA Newsline one time. The man was lamenting that he has been forgotten by the Nigerian Government, not even compensation for designing the flag.

Now as God would have it, this salary of life he was given, his family will never lack. God bless President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan!
